It’s no secret that great food needs great wine, and great wine can definitely be found at Ammos!
The Ammos collection of New and Old world wines have been carefully selected by owner George Antypas to perfectly complement the restaurant’s Mediterranean cuisine.
Ammos has a vast collection of wine, which continues to grow on a daily basis. Your meal can be perfectly matched depending on what you are having and your budget.
For example, Filet Mignon, Rib Steak and Rack of Lamb can be enjoyed best with a Cabernet Sauvignon, a Merlot or Cabernet Franc. Great examples of these wines are the Italian Cabernet Sauvignon, Creso Bola 1999, the French Grand Cru Bordeaux, Chateau Destieux Saint-Emilion 1999 or even the marvelous New world wine, the Californian Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot, Insignia Joseph Phelps 1999.
On the other hand, if you’re a fish lover, the Chilean Sea Bass, Swordfish, Tuna or even Grilled Whole Fish and Lobster would match best with a Chardonnay, Sauvignon or Semillion, such as the French Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaume, Chateau de Maligny 2001, the Australian Chardonnay, Penfolds Yattarna Vintage 2000 or The Greek Domaine Gerovassiliou 2003.
The most important decision a client must make at Ammos is his food, the second, is his wine!
